ISS Low Res Model - Z1 Truss (Part 7)

My latest offering for the International Space Station Project is the Z1 Truss (is it pronounced Zee one, or Zed one). This is one of those Truss components that are is some drawings regarding the general structure of the Truss components, but nothing on the details like the KU-Band Antenna.

The ISS assembly is now getting more and more 'complex', so I'm now looking at definitely changing from low polygon 3D model to a medium/high polygon 3D model. This is mainly because the hand rails and minor details are going to add significant amount of polygons.

Just so I could see the 'overall' picture, I've added two 'modified' Russian launched modules from the Mir Project. I'll work on these once the US modules are complete.

In tandem to the 3D projects on my blog, I've been secretly working on another collection of 3D models for the next version of F-Sim. It all been Hush-hush up until now, but there has been a post of the F-Sim forum showing what this project is. I'll leave it to you to locate the single screenshot.

Good hunting!

ISS Low Res Model Quest Joint Airlock (Part 5)

This week's main task on the International Space Station (ISS) model is the Quest Joint Airlock. IThe only issue I had was just getting formation regarding locations of handrails, external components and the location of the exterior door proved tricky.

I'm going to see if there are any decent mission photos from Space Shuttle Mission STS-104 as I need to clarify a few components.
